Audit Committee

The Audit Committee annually audits the books and accounts of the Treasurer and any other committee as directed by the County Committee or the Executive Committee. They submit a written report of any audit to the County Committee as a whole for approval and to the Finance Committee for their use in preparing the budget and the maintenance of financial records.
Campaign Committee

The Campaign Committee assists in efforts to recruit candidates for vacant Democratic positions on the ballot. They work with the various campaigns to provide assistance in obtaining resources for successful campaigns. The committee conducts and coordinates occasional candidate/volunteer training sessions. They assist candidates with the development of candidate messaging, including but not limited to joint-literature pieces, billboards, TV ads, etc.
They assist with coordinating the County Committee's effort in both the primary and general elections, including poll watching, and greeting, and GOTV efforts. They also assist in joint-candidate canvasses, phone banks and/or other events to assist in their election.
The committee attempts to obtain the candidates voter ID's or other campaign related data for future use by the County Committee. They also work with the candidate's campaign to obtain volunteer lists after a campaign has concluded.
Education Committee

This committee arranges for speakers to explain the most important issues to our county committee members and keep them current on political issues. They always keep in mind the goals, principles and objectives of the Democratic Party. They schedule open meetings or events where issues of importance to the public and Democratic Party are addressed and discussed. They obtain and make literature available and arrange for mass distribution of printed materials. The committee assists in the formation and establishment of new clubs and party organizations.
The Education Committee educates members of the party about current issues, Legislation and other matters of importance to the general public and the Democratic Party. They also assist other committees with educational components as requested.
Finance Committee

This committee is responsible for establishing an annual budget for approval by the County Committee at the first meeting of the calendar year. They prepare and monitor annual financial projections, advises the Executive Board of potential budget issues and makes recommendations for consideration. They also assist the Fundraising Committee in developing goal specific budgets for targeted fundraising efforts.
Fundraising Committee

The Fund Raising Committee is responsible for raising funds for the day-to-day operations of the Berks County Democratic Committee. Activities include two annual dinners, an annual "Ad/Program Book", summer picnic, and various games of chance and other sales.
Judiciary Committee

This committee reviews and recommends additions, modifications and amendments to the rules and regulations which govern this County Committee, Legislative District organizations and clubs to comply with State Committee Rules and this Constitution.
The Judiciary Committee also handles complaints. They adjudicate complaints pursuant to Article II, Section 2 and conduct a hearing, take evidence, make findings of fact and a recommendation to the parties to the complaint, the Executive Board and the full membership of the County Committee.
Membership Committee

The Committee assists in recruiting members to fill vacancies within the County Committee, in coordination with Regional Coordinators and appropriate County Committee members. They maintain and update a database of members and pertinent member information, with assistance from the Technology Committee as needed.
They provide orientation and introduce new members to the County Committee and the applicable Regional Coordinator. They monitor membership attendance at meetings and contact delinquent and lapsed members.
The Committee counsels inactive members to become more involved or consider resigning. The committee also reminds members of expiring terms and provides information regarding re-election. They determine and implement ways to increase member satisfaction.
Outreach Committee

This committee establishes and fosters good will initiatives within the Berks County community. They establish relationships with the schools and colleges within Berks County. The committee also develops coalitions with other clubs and organizations.
Public Relations Committee

The Communications Committee is responsible for increasing positive awareness of the county Democratic Party. They draft and submit press releases as authorized by the Chair, and, with the cooperation of the Technology Committee, work to communicate to the Berks County audience the goals and principles of the Democratic Party, County Committee events, programs and important issues. The committee advises and provides material for the County Committee's website(s), blogs, e-mails and other media.
Technology Committee
This committee provides and maintains the infrastructure for the County Committee's internet presence. They research and implement new technologies for the advancement of the County Committee. The committee provides training and assistance to authorized individuals for systems being maintained by the technology committee. They also assist with the development and maintenance of a County Committee volunteer database.
